Eva and Edward had a beautiful untraditional wedding day filled with love and laughter from friends and family <3
Here is the preview of their wonderful day!
So often when you hear vintage, images of mason jars, and burlap come to mind. But Mackenzie had a whole different take on a vintage inspired day. From her location in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, the oldest city in the US, to her incredible Jenny Packham gown, she incorporated a vintage glamour into every aspect of her day! Her natural grace and beauty didn’t hurt either ;)
We love getting to know our couples and we love asking what makes them unique! So when we asked what is quirky about their relationship, this is what they had to say:
“We’re both old souls who prefer drive in movie theaters and antique stores over whatever else it is the kids do these days. Also, neither of us own, or plan to own, a smart phone. We like to be as unplugged as possible. No Twitter or Instagram, and we contemplate deleting our Facebooks daily.”
We loved capturing these two and their special day filled with so much joy and love and I am so excited to share their wedding film with you today!
Something we LOVED was Mackenzie and Joe’s inventive exit! They lit and sent off lanterns and then jetted away on their Vespa!
What is your wedding exit plan? Bubbles? Sparklers? Or something we’ve never seen before?

There are just some couples that have a little something extra. When you are around them they emit a kind of joy that is absolutely contagious and you simply can not help but smile. That, is Lindsay and Ryan!
When we asked Lindsay and Ryan what the most important thing to each of them on their big day was, this is what they told us:
Lindsay: “I honestly can’t wait to walk down the aisle to Ryan. I have been dreaming of this moment with him and can’t wait to see him so handsome up at the altar waiting for me while my dad walks me down. Every time I think about it, I cry happy tears, so I am telling myself I’m getting it all out now so I don’t cry tears of joy the entire wedding. I am so excited to marry him and spend my life with him. He is truly the best man I know. I also can’t wait to dance the night away with him, our families and our closest friends, the people who matter most!”
Ryan: “That I’m going to marry my best friend and the love of my life in front of the people I love the most, my family and friends. Through all of this wedding planning, that has been what was most important to me, that I get to marry Lindsay. She is the woman of my dreams.”
Seriously how adorably amazing are these two! I could not be more excited to share their wedding film with you today!
We especially loved Lindsay and Ryan’s first dance! They were so excited to be in each others arms and you can truly see that they were having FUN!
What are you doing for your first dance? Are you going in with choreography to wow your guests or planning on having a moment with just you and your loved one? I can’t wait to hear!

Well hello there!
Long time no blog everyone! So okay we have been busy-a little-okay a lot-like crazy insane busy doing well, what we do-making wedding films and I (yes me, Samm) have been hugely slacking on the blog front. And for this you have my sincerest apologies! And I have so much to tell you because so much has happened in the last couple months!
So, as I sit in front of my glowing computer screen this fine evening with my Anthropologie mug full of hot cocoa and a few (or maybe a bunch-who knows) of marshmallows, I am not only going to fill you in on loads of fun things, but I am going to share three, yes three, awesomely fantabulous inspiration shoots we had the pleasure to film!
Where to begin….
Well, for starters, you simply must follow us on Instagram! You can find me at @imprintcinema and Alex at @Aleximprint because not only do we post the most incredible cat photos you’ve ever seen, we are posting photos from weddings for inspiration, pics from our inspiration shoots, AND we are going to be in attendance (and filming) New York Bridal Fashion Week in April and you are so NOT going to want to miss what is in store! So, like Nike says, “Just do it”!
So lets get on with the inspiration am I right?!
Okay so for this first one we didn’t just get to film this shoot but Alex and I came up with the concept, design, and picked our team of wedding pros carefully to have the most incredible finished product. I sent it over to Lauren at Every Last Detail and she was so excited to feature this inspiration for wedding films on her blog (yay!)!

So how’s that for some pretty?! Now go see all those real posts and I want to hear if you are incorporating any of these elements into your big day and tell me if these inspired your wedding film.
This past summer we had the absolute joy of taking out first trip to California. We actually were wonderfully blessed to be able to go twice!
But this story starts long before we even thought about going to the west coast……
At the beginning of Imprint Cinema, I decided (after much careful research) that we should begin to choose some wedding blogs to be a part of in their vendor guides. This has become something about what we do that brings me a lot of happiness. Waking up every morning and having my first hour or so be consumed with my tea/coffee and looking a pretty things that are all about weddings is almost always one of my favorite part of my day.
So the first decision I made was to join the other incredible vendors on this fabulous blog I had found called Every Last Detail. Now if you know anything about me, it is that since then, we have become a very big part of the ELD family. Lauren is a good friend and possibly one of the most incredibly and amazingly influential people we have had the pleasure to know in these past couple years.
So fast forward to April-ish 2012….
Lauren created a place for all her vendors to meet, chat, and talk about teaming up to create some amazing things. So, I went to introduce us- lo and behold, the most hysterical post went up under mine. The last line of that post was “but I’m funnier on Twitter”.
So naturally, I had to go and look at the Twitter to which this post belonged and that was when I found Brynn D’Avello.
And, we instantly became cyber friends/insta-friends/facebookfriends…. And it was beautiful.
From there it was only a matter of time before we had to meet in person. That’s where Adrian and Mikki come into the story. We told Brynn and her husband Mike (who is also pretty freakin awesome!) that we had plans to head to the west and if they thought any of their couples might like to have us film their wedding.
Adrian and Mikki calld us a couple weeks later and after talking to them, we were absolutely smitten with these two!
After about a half hour on the phone we knew that their story was incredible and that we were going to love telling it! These two have known each other almost their entire lives- and not only that but they are two in a three-amigos. They share everything, even their lifelong best friend who was the maid of honor at their wedding.
These two captured our hearts and I am so excited to have their wedding film on our blog today!
Kim and David are just about two of the sweetest people you could possibly meet. They are kind, caring, cute, and so in love with each other. So, we took them out for a few hours to hang out and talk about their love story and who they are as a couple- and magic happened!
Plus, they brought the cutest little dog we’ve ever seen!
Adorable right? My favorite part is when Kim is talking about how David is “one of those guys women read about in books-you know that DON’T exist!” haha!
These two have since moved off to Atlanta and their wedding day is fast approaching! We can’t wait for their big day and to see how beautiful Kim is as a bride (we know it is going to be amazing!!!)
What is your favorite part about your significant other?
I am absolutely in LOVE with this engagement session we were able to tag along for from Amalie Orrange Photography! We met Lindsay and Chip at the Winter Park Bridal stroll last year and they are getting married this April (yay!!).
We had so much fun hanging out around Winter Park with them and filming a little Love Story :)
I am so excited today that first, we are debuting our new website and blog (yay!), second it is my debut as a contributor to the wonderful wedding blog Every Last Detail (also yay!), and finally to share this amazing film with you! We have some catching up to do on blogging but I simply can’t wait to share this one any longer. There is something about this film that just absolutely will warm your heart and make you smile.
Robert and Petra had an absolutely stunning wedding day but just from being around them we instantly knew that for them, at the end of the day, the flowers and the cake, all the little details wouldn’t matter because they were finally getting married. I in all honesty have never seen two people so excited for the actual moment where they seal their marriage with a kiss and it was adorable.
I spent the morning with Petra and all she could talk about was Robert and how excited she was to see him and how cool he is and how he is her one and only. Alex spent the morning with Robert and my understanding is, it was exactly the same, all talk about how much he loves Petra.
This woodsy whimsical wedding had the most fun decor and details from the guestbook trees with twitter birds to hang with advice for the newlyweds to the smores bar at the reception and me personal favorite, the “She’s My World” “I’m His” signs on the back of their chairs at their receptions.
But, you know I always love telling you how our lovebirds fell in love- so here is their story!
We met January 29, 2011. Knew it was love at first sight. Immediately rushed to the altar hoping to forego all of these matters. Of course that’s not exactly how the story went.
It all started back in eternity past. When God chose to create man and…. My bad. I went a little too far back. It went a little…like this…
It was a busy Saturday for me. It was 5th Sunday and I had to take the youth from Starke to the district meeting in Gainesville. Due to having a very back and forth life between Jacksonville and Gainesville, I wasn’t dressed in my best attire and was forced to wear sweats and an oversized tshirt. Funny how you DON’T have to dress to impress eh!!! Little did I know I would be meeting my future wife looking so disheveled. Oh well…fate was not to be denied this day. We were there to see Carla, a mutual friend, speak and we quickly introduced ourselves. She was cool I thought. Period. (I’ll also add that she was quite cute…(after she just struck me in the chest for not adding that she was more than just cool)…Owww!)
I had resolved in my mind that I would not date during my MBA studies. Life was too busy to add anything or anyone else. I made sure to let her and all the other lovely women who thought it was time I settle down know this in very plain and respectful terms after the presentation.
With the presentation over, it was time for Petra to head out. I walked her out the side entrance while cracking one of my patented jokes©.
She laughed. I still had no intention of getting to know her any further. The day was going along quite well.
I stood on the front steps of the church as she spoke to Carla. I was admiring what fine weather we were having on that glorious Saturday. And then….as I saw Petra walking away… I thought, I must get to know this girl.
(In my mind: “Dude we just went over this a few minutes ago. You are NOT dating anybody until 2012 or later! Period! Get it together! Annnddddd….Break!)
The pep talk didn’t change a thing… I quickly moved past it and knew what I had to do….only I didn’t know how I was going to do it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know how to go about introducing myself without coming across as lame. And we didn’t even run in the same circles so it would be so obvious if I just popped up and tried to get to know her. But, to my surprise, several of my friends had the same idea (shout out to Devin and Yhanique) and the wheels began turning (Chance? I think not! The good Lord is always on His job). Within a week I had the digits and was ready to call.
The Call – February 9, 2011
Ring….ring….ring….VOICEMAIL!!! So I left a message. I thought I sounded cool. Ask her for the details. Fortunately, she called back (so I must have sounded cool, right). We talked for a few minutes before each of us walked into church and agreed that we’d talk later that night. Well, we talked later that night. And that night quickly became the next morning, but good conversation has no time limit. So after 3 days in a row of talking till 5 in the morning, I decided that I must meet this girl cuz she was sounding too good to be true.
The Date – February 12, 2011
We decided to meet for sushi at Fuji Hana in Gainesville. Ok…I’ll admit it…I was a tiny bit nervous. I’d just invested 24 hours worth of conversation with this girl in the past 3 days and was thinking that it was possible that we’d be better on the phone than in person. I was proven wrong…AGAIN!!! (I’m starting to trend) After she showed up a little bit late (I understand baby…girls gotta do their makeup before the first date with their future husband ;)), we walked around, chatted in my car and finally ate. And what a meal it was! She enjoyed the sushi and the way I devoured my meal. I admired her beauty, intellect and warmth of personality from across the table and often caught myself staring at her.
Alright! I’m sprung! And I had no doubt that she was the one! This was just the start and what a road we’ve travelled so far. It’ll be a mere 20 months when we say our “I do’s” and I’m ready for the next great adventure with Mrs. Petra Pindar by my side.
A lady worth the wait and infinitely more.
Thank you Jesus.
Hmmm let’s see… babe got most of our story right… thanks to my careful watch LOL
We did meet on January 29, 2011 at an event that Carla was speaking at however, that was (apparently) NOT our first meeting. After careful research we discovered that we had met years earlier in 2007 and had a small conversation over FaceBook and wished each other happy birthday. What is odd is that neither of us remembers this conversation or any contact. Strange how God will put your blessing in your lap and you STILL have to wait to unwrap it ;-)
It is also true that he was quite disheveled when we officially met and because of this I immediately wrote him off as a goofy young guy. In fact, I thought he was younger than me!! Go figure that he’s older than I am!! I thought that he was funny and a pretty nice guy. Nothing more nothing less. Ok wait… I did notice that he was kind of attractive…
Interestingly, I too had recently made a personal commitment to focus on finishing law school and stay away from relationships until I had the time to learn what I really wanted. Now babe, if I remember correctly there were three of us given that speech about settling down and giving love a chance… none of us were listening LOL it was not just directed at you ;-)
A little over a week later on February 9, 2011 I received a phone call from my friend/big sis, Yhanique (talk about ironic) and the FIRST thing that she said when I answered the phone was “are you ready to be found?” I burst out laughing. It’s true. I am ashamed. As the conversation continued I realized that she was talking about the twin of HER boyfriend (now husband!!)… and while everything she said was wonderful I told her that I did NOT want the third wheel lol… her reply “trust me, even if you don’t date him he is going to be your best friend. God wouldn’t leave me alone until I told you.” That ladies and gentlemen was enough for me to agree to giving him my number. He called that afternoon while I was in class and I ended up calling him back at 6:31pm (yes I know the exact time… don’t judge me) and we have talked every day since.
Our first date was that Saturday, Feb. 12th and I was running a little bit behind but not by much. Maybe like 5 or 10 minutes? I can’t quite remember. I had a few other engagements that day and totally lost track of time. Besides, good things come to those who wait, right?! LOL I finally made it to Fuji Hana and I was SO nervous! I have NEVER been so nervous on a first date, date, casual get together… I have just never been that nervous on any type of (potentially) romantic outing. I pulled up and the restaurant was not open yet. Point 1 for me. I got out of my car and he got out of his and we hugged and HE HAD SOME NICE ARMS! *whew* Let me bring it back… Our first hug immediately made me feel comfortable and I was amped to see if we would have as great a connection in person as we did on the phone. We did. Our date was amazing and I found myself talking and laughing without any thought as to what was being said only that I was happy.
Yhanique was right. He is my best friend… and I cannot WAIT to become his wife on September 29th which is exactly 20 months to the day of when we officially met. I knew very early on that this was “it” because he treats me like his missing rib (shout out to Adam and Eve!)… He protects me and cares for me while allowing me to protect his most vulnerable parts. We’re a team… Team RnP ♥
So now that you know the back-story, I suppose we should let you watch their amazing wedding day happen!
What did you think? How amazing is Robert’s reaction when he sees his bride?
Confession time: I literally cried the entire time I was editing this film- I couldn’t watch it without breaking down in tears!
Robert and Petra, your love is moving, touching, and I think we all can say that Rob was right, a love like yours doesn’t come around everyday.
Congratulations to you both :D

It has been a while…
But I couldn’t be happier to be here right now on Christmas Eve to put this wedding film out there.
And here is why….
You see behind Imprint Cinema sits two people. We are married, and still very much in love, we are best friends, and our own worst enemies at times. We share everything-from joy to sorrow to guilt to immense happiness, we share in everything together. So you see, Imprint Cinema isn’t so much a company as it is the two of us-it is Alex and Samm-and we are Imprint Cinema. And we may not have realized this- or maybe we didn’t want to realize it until someone pushed us outside of our comfort zone. Some of you know the story and for those of you who don’t, we will shed some light very soon.
But, it was the best thing that could possibly have happened for us, for Imprint Cinema, and for the countless couples that we care so so much about.
So here we are- thinking new, excitement new, experience new, but wondering if anyone would trust in us and believe in us enough to let us take them out of the box with us.
And that is where Lauren and Patrick come in.
I won’t ever forget the phone call-and how nervous I was to even ask that someone trust in me enough to take their wedding film to a place we hadn’t yet tried to go- to be our first step. I was terrified to call, sitting in the cold car with the AC blowing my hair into my face as I stared down at Lauren’s phone number in the middle of the Nevada desert. And then I pressed call-and I waited-and her voice-mail picked up. I was relieved but anxious as I began to speak my message.
When Lauren called me back I was equally as nervous-I spoke quickly, shakily I am sure, but then from the other end this exited giggle came through the phone and I started to tear up (which I’m not sure anyone but Alex knew until now). I was not only incredibly relieved but absolutely touched that she-having not even known us a year-would trust us to try to create something new out of her special day, to go the extra mile for her.
Well, the rest is history and a few dinner dates and coffees later, it was time for the big day.
Lauren and Patrick, we knew that they were our kind of people and that was what first drew us to them. They were family driven people who loved their large, loud, and amazing families. And their wedding day was the most important day for the two of them because this was the day that they were officially melding their two families into one.
“The brothers” and the whole Lashbrook Clan knew Lauren was going to be sticking around forever when Pat brought her home to south Florida for the first time after they’d only been together a short while and she fit right in, giving Will and Peter just the right amount of guff back and taking everything in stride. They loved her and knew they had to do everything in their power to not let Pat let her get away.
And the Barley clan was equally impressed with how well Pat took care of Lauren and understood what she needed when she was having a freakout moment and he just listened and took it all in and loved her even more afterwards. They saw in him the yin to her yang. These two were meant for each other and we were so honored to be a part of their day.
As Imprint Cinema grows not only as a company but as two married people, we have made some changes to our films and Lauren and Pat trusted us with their story and telling it in a new and exciting way. We are and have always been story tellers and we want all our couples to have the best film they can have and see their story told within it. As we grow we are evolving to share not just each couple’s story on their wedding day but the days leading up to it and afterwards to not just tell the story of a wedding day, but of the couple, of two people completely in love.
So cheers to Lauren and Pat and thank you for trusting us and honoring us by allowing us to be at your wedding and capture your memories.
